Andrej Schewtchenko gives Office as a national coach of Ukraine
Andrej Schewtchenko admits his office as a national coach of Ukraine after five years. The former World Classstausmer announced on Sunday at Twitter and Instagram that he would not extend his expiring contract. Schewtchenko had led Ukraine last to the EM quarter finals.
"It was hard work, which proved that we are able to play modern football. Thank you the President and the Executive Committee for the opportunity to work with the Ukrainian national team," wrote the 44-year-old.
He also thanked players and fans for their support: "Together we have shown that our football can be competitive, productive and exciting."

According to Ukrainian media, the association and Schewtchenko were unable to agree on the framework conditions of a new contract. A successor is still unknown.
