Middle '50W or more wireless charging'

Chinese smartphone companies are spurring to prepare for the film preparation for more than 50W wireless charging measures to be applied from next year.

According to the Chinese mediachecker on the 10th, the Chinese smartphone industry has recently adjusted the wireless charging function of the new product in front of the provision of the government's wireless charging function.

The main smartphone companies, including Xiaomi, have already been reported to stop the research and development of high efficiency wireless charging technology.

The Chinese government has defined the transfer efficiency of mobile and portable wireless charging devices from January 1 next year to lower the transmission efficiency of mobile and portable wireless charging devices.

This measure was formulated through the Wireless Charge (Power Transfer) Facility Wireless Power Management Temporary Regulation released in February of China Industrial Information.

Applies to be used within China, import, sales, mobile and portable wireless charging devices. As a result, companies exporting to China will also be applied to the regulations.

In the meantime, in China, there was a lot of smart phones and chargers with wireless charging technology for more than 50W. As a result, smartphone companies have been inevitable to regulate the new product specification.

It was analyzed that the wavelength was not less than Xiao, such as Xiaomi, Oppo, which was active in developing wireless charging technology.

Xiaomi was 50W of wireless charging efficiency of Ultra version, but the subsequent model, US 11 Pro and Mi 11 Ultra was launched as 67W wireless charging function.

The Xiaomi also has been 120W and Oppo, which has announced 125W wireless charging technology. But two companies have not been able to apply these technologies to real mass production.

■ Limited to 50W to protect astronomical business

The Chinese government limits the wireless charging technology to 50W or less is a drill to protect astronomical businesses that use radio waves.

As a result, wireless charging equipment is prohibited within the radio observatory site protection distance. For safety of vessels and aircraft-only radio frequency use, use of wireless charging equipment in vessels and aircraft is prohibited.

The radio telescope of the astronomical system and the telecommunication device such as a telescope and ships are interpreted as a measure considering the wireless propagation facility.
