The promotional videos of Balan Wonderworld are always beautifully frightening

Baan Wonderworld continues to look absolutely incredible, even if we have not seen a lot of balan itself in promotional clips - or our true protagonists, elsewhere. We understand to keep launch apparent antagonist out of sight until the last minute, but really? Not even a preview of Leo and Emma? It's weird. We do not complain exactly, however, because the next series of magnificently stylized promotional videos is exit and they remind us why the musical theater is such an effective form of art. Get ready to feel feelings about a boy and planes, a woman and her birds, and a little girl and her horrible childhood trauma - uh, kitten. We mean kitten.

Promotions for chapters 4, 5 and 6 are even more theatrical than the previous ones, the clip of Chapter 4 showing even balan sitting in an auditorium and looking at the events unfold like a play. All this is very funny until the footprint of the Chang interpreter on reality begins to slip after too many failures. Chapter 5, meanwhile, has one of the scary arguments to protect the environment we have seen in the game for years. The scene where the forest is cut to white and all color leeches in the wake of bulldozers? Creepy. We are 100% on the side of Sana bird watching passion.

The promotional video of Chapter 6 is perhaps the darkest to date. Banan Wonderworld has already set up to tackle the impending death experiences, social ostracism, broken dreams and environmental despair - now it examines the death and guilt of the survivors. Without dialogue and without a series of still images, the clip shows a daughter named Cass forming a friendship with a stray kitten. A friendship that ends brutally when the kitten sees Cass and rushes on the road to greet her. It looks like Cass is now haunted by the spectrum of his deceased friend, his own guilt, or both. Yuji Naka and his company do not joke.

We really hope that baan wonderworld will be a relatively edifying game, but wow, some of these themes and visuals seem straight out of a horror game. And the main naughty has not even really made his big entrance! How will this story become darker? Is it just a disguised horror game? If so, we do not complain. We love horror games.

BALAN WONDERWORLD will make its way to the current and new generation consoles and PCs in the spring of 2021.
