The Psychological Thriller The Time I Have Left is a race against death
Formed by only two creators, the Barcelonian studio Ground Game workshop unveiled its first game in the person of The Time I Have Left, a psychological thriller in the form of an artistic exercise in which a young woman struggles to escape the fatal outcome which is promised to him.
Described as a narrative exploration game with RPG elements, The Time I Have Left will put us in the skin of Aline, a young woman with a strange bad, the miasm, which promises a death certain. At the beginning of the game, Aline only has 6 hours to live while trying to escape from an immense underground complex strangely deserted, the colony 7. A story that the game intends to tell us using an artistic direction which comes out of the ordinary, as if to illustrate the sense of urgency and anguish of heroin.
Because time is not just a narrative challenge: the clock is constantly and certain events are triggered only at specific times. Suffice to say that it is unlikely to unlock all shortcuts, objects, secrets and other stories hidden in one part. Aline will face grotesque creatures during his imminent death experiments, meetings that will take the form of turnbounds per turn where his only options are to resist or flee.
Could, however, access new capacities as it progresses and finds something to fill the game database. For knowledge, it's power, we are telling us. The Time I Have Left is announced for 2023 on Steam.
