It is no secret that the studio worked on a half-life branch. Two years ago, the documentation channel noclip released a video about Arkane on YouTube, in which the failed half-life project was also talked about. But you couldn't see much of the game back then.

What if: An hour shooter gameplay published from Ravenholm

The Jonestown Massacre: Paradise Lost (Cult Documentary) | Real Stories Now noclip has reported back, because channel operator Danny O'dwyer was actually allowed to record gameplay from the never -released game ** and now share it with the world. You can watch the complete video on YouTube:

Half-life developer Valve is known, among other things, for the original use of physics in games. Whether the iconic Gravity Gun in Half-Life 2 or the eponymous portal cannon in portal. Arcans had also considered a few exciting concepts for Ravenholm.

So Electricity plays a central role in the fights and puzzles of the never -released game . Among other things, it was possible to shoot nails or move metal chairs to close or interrupt circuits. In later game sections there were even weapons that had to be charged on power boxes before relying on conventional ammunition.

Since it is a prototype that is never completed, the recordings are as unfinished. So the frame rate is rarely stable and every now and then textures are missing . For half-life fans and everyone else who is interested in video game development, the hour is still absolutely worth seeing.
