Dragon Quest creator gives a special anniversary message

One of the largest franchises of RPG is Dragon Quest, which was born on May 27, 1986 and is now fulfilling one more anniversary, reason for celebration, especially in its place Origin, Japan. Due to this birthday, Yuji Horii (creator of the series) has launched a special message to fans waiting for new releases.

Hello everyone! Yuji Horii here. Right now I'm in Dragon Quest Island.

Dragon Quest Island is an attraction of playable role that gives life to the world of Dragon Quest through a combination of real and digital experiences. Unfortunately, I was raining the day we visited it...

Thanks to all our fans, the attraction celebrates its first anniversary. I am very happy that so many of you have come to participate. And to all those who are thinking of making the trip, they will be given a warm welcome on Awaji Island, the place where I grew up. It is a great place to visit, even on rainy days like today.

Today is May 27, also known as Dragon Quest Day. And this year, it is the 36th birthday of the Dragon Quest series. We could not have gone so far without the support of our fans. I am very grateful to all of you.

In 2022, it will also be the tenth anniversary of the launch of Dragon Quest X. We have many plans in process to celebrate the occasion, so I hope everyone is eager to celebrate it with us.

We will also launch many new Dragon Quest titles this year. The work is already undergoing Dragon Quest X offline and dragon Quest Treasures.
